DESCRIPTION: ISFOC participates in the METAVERSO project, whose main objective is to implement a predictive maintenance solution based on Artificial Intelligence techniques and data visualisation in a collaborative virtual environment in the form of a control centre in the metaverse. This solution, intended for use in photovoltaic installations, aims to reduce and optimise the cost per optimal maintenance action (predicted failure within a defined time), minimising the costs of unplanned failure (corrective maintenance) as well as the costs derived from over-maintenance (preventive maintenance).

To achieve this objective, the project aims to cover the following specific goals:

• Development of a predictive maintenance solution based on Artificial Intelligence techniques and virtual monitoring in the metaverse for photovoltaic plants.
• Utilisation of the capabilities of new control centres in the metaverse, IoT sensors, AI systems, Big Data to obtain a new solution for photovoltaic installation that allows the optimisation/automation of systems and error prediction.
• Obtain an industrial-level solution that allows the reduction and optimisation of the cost per optimal maintenance action (predicted failure within a defined time), minimising the costs of unplanned failure (corrective maintenance) as well as the costs derived from over-maintenance (preventive maintenance).

The METAVERSO project is part of the call for Aid for the Support of Innovative Business Groups (AEI) from the Ministry of Industry, Commerce and Tourism (MINCOTUR), as well as the 2021 call within the framework of the Recovery, Transformation and Resilience Plan. The main objective of these aids is to strengthen business groups and improve the competitiveness of small and medium-sized enterprises.
