Project duration: 2021-2022
Execution budget: €213,227.00
DESCRIPTION: ISFOC participates in the EMPLEASOLAR project, whose main objective is to carry out industrial research to evaluate and demonstrate the benefits of integrating innovative Industry 4.0 technologies in certification training processes, as well as in promoting employability and job placement of qualified personnel in the photovoltaic sector. All this is based on the fact that there is a serious problem of a lack of qualified personnel to work in the solar energy sector, which is a risk for the sector's growth expectations. To achieve its objectives, the project will focus on three specific areas:
- A collaborative platform: consisting of a web simulator, the publication of job and training offers, as well as operators.
- A virtual simulator: through a standalone virtual reality web, as well as hardware in the loop.
- Practical application with field tests, functional technical evaluation, and a real training course.
To achieve this objective, the project aims to cover the following specific goals:
- Improve training quality and competitiveness in the PV sector through virtualisation techniques and Industry 4.0 innovation.
- Promote quality employment and improve the availability of qualified personnel in the PV sector to favour economic, social, and territorial cohesion through the innovative collaboration and training platform.
- Promote the digital transformation of the PV sector, contributing to achieving energy transition, sustainable growth, and climate neutrality goals.
- Demonstrate and evaluate the advantages of the Collaborative Platform (employment and training) in the sector and its economic viability.
The EMPLEASOLAR project is part of the call for Aid for the Support of Innovative Business Groups (AEI) from the Ministry of Industry, Commerce and Tourism (MINCOTUR) for the year 2021, within the framework of the Recovery, Transformation and Resilience Plan. The main objective of these aids is to strengthen business groups and improve the competitiveness of small and medium-sized enterprises.
The EMPLEASOLAR project is subsidised by the Ministry of Industry, Commerce and Tourism (MINCOTUR).
