DESCRIPTION: ISFOC participates in the Autoconsumo 4.0 project, whose main objective is to apply Big Data and Cloud Computing to develop an intelligent system that, when applied to a distributed photovoltaic installation, efficiently manages renewable generation to maximise revenue from energy sales in case of surpluses and to minimise energy costs to meet residential consumption demands. The expected results are the optimisation, in economic and energy terms, of self-consumption installations, the reduction of manufacturing costs, and a social impact in economic and employability terms.
To achieve this objective, the project aims to cover the following specific goals:
- Design of an intelligent energy flow management system for self-consumption photovoltaic systems in residential, commercial, and industrial markets, through the implementation of Big Data and Cloud Computing technologies.
- Development of an intelligent renewable energy management system for photovoltaic generation to maximise revenue from surplus sales, minimising the cost of consumed energy, using energy prediction algorithms and optimal system behaviour prediction.
- The algorithms are developed using modern Machine Learning techniques implemented on a cloud-hosted server.
The Autoconsumo 4.0 project is part of the call for Aid for the Support of Innovative Business Groups (AEI) from the Ministry of Industry, Commerce and Tourism (MINCOTUR) for the year 2020. The main objective of these aids is to strengthen business groups and improve the competitiveness of small and medium-sized enterprises.
The Autoconsumo 4.0 project is subsidised by the Ministry of Industry, Commerce and Tourism (MINCOTUR).
