DESCRIPTION: ISFOC leads the development of the OpenSIROCO project, whose main objective is to develop an open platform for managing collaborative robotic missions that adapts to the needs of the end user in conventional production environments. The system integrates robotic agents and distributed intelligent sensors with state-of-the-art communication systems. All collected data is analysed using Big Data and Artificial Intelligence techniques to facilitate decision-making in production environments. To achieve this objective, the project aims to cover the following specific goals:
- Search for robotic solutions and configurations, Industry 4.0, adapted to open and heterogeneous sectors such as energy, agriculture, livestock, construction, mining, logistics, and transport.
- Analysis of specific problems in vineyard cultivation and photovoltaic installations scenarios.
- Experimental development of a collaborative robotic mission management system for application in the photovoltaic and viticulture sectors.
- Generalisation and standardisation of operations to address new problems through open innovation and collective intelligence.
The OpenSIROCO project is part of the State Scientific and Technical Research and Innovation Plan 2017-2020 (State R&D&I Plan) and specifically, within the grants aimed at promoting regional cooperation in R&D (FEDER INTERCONECTA Programme) – 2018 Call. The Centre for the Development of Industrial Technology, E.P.E. (CDTI) is responsible for managing this programme in accordance with the priorities established in the “Multiregional Operational Programme of Spain 2014-2020”, as well as the Social Challenges contained in the Spanish Strategy for Science, Technology, and Innovation and in the Horizon 2020 Framework Programme for Research, Development, and Innovation. The scope of the OpenSIROCO project is closely linked to the scientific-technological priorities contemplated within the Social Challenge 7: “Digital economy, society and culture” of the State Scientific and Technical Research and Innovation Plan 2017-2020.
The OpenSIROCO project is subsidised by CDTI and supported by the Ministry of Economy, Industry and Competitiveness.
