DESCRIPTION: Emplea2 Solar builds on the industrial research project Emplea Solar (Collaborative Platform for the Virtualisation of Training and Promotion of Job Placement in the Photovoltaic Sector), approved in the 2021 AEI call. This project proposed the innovation and integration of Industry 4.0 technologies (such as virtual simulation, Computer Based Training, Hardware in the Loop, and virtual reality) to create new solutions that are more effective, accessible, sustainable, and economical. These solutions are encompassed in a collaborative platform between companies, certifying bodies, and future photovoltaic installers, with two main lines of action: the improvement and virtualisation of certifying training processes and the promotion of job placement and employability in the photovoltaic sector.
Building on this first project, Emplea2 Solar reformulates the collaborative platform to integrate state-of-the-art technology, to digitalise and secure digital training certificates based on blockchain technology. This includes improvements to already digitised training sessions or those that were excluded from the initial scope, or new ones that address current sector needs to reduce risk and, therefore, accidents, which impact both the target sector and society socio-economically.
To achieve this objective, the project aims to cover the following specific goals:
- Improve training quality and competitiveness in the photovoltaic sector through digitalisation techniques using Industry 4.0 technologies (virtual reality, web-based virtual simulators, simulation through hardware interaction).
- Digitalise training processes applied to occupational risk prevention in the photovoltaic sector.
- Improve the availability of qualified personnel to work in the photovoltaic sector.
- Promote economic, social, and territorial cohesion through the innovative collaboration and training platform, making it more accessible, effective, sustainable, and economical through the proposed digital innovations.
- Integrate blockchain technology to identify and protect digital training certificates, thereby reducing hiring costs and stimulating the photovoltaic sector job market.
- Demonstrate and evaluate the training and employability improvements obtained from the developed demonstrator.
The EMPLEA2 SOLAR project is part of the 2023 call for Aid for the Support of Innovative Business Groups (AEI) from the Ministry of Industry, Commerce and Tourism (MINCOTUR), within the framework of the Recovery, Transformation and Resilience Plan. The main objective of these aids is to strengthen business groups and improve the competitiveness of small and medium-sized enterprises.
The EMPLEA2 SOLAR project is subsidised by the Ministry of Industry, Commerce and Tourism (MINCOTUR).
