This past 10th of April, the Concentration Photovoltaic Systems Institute held a meeting with the Clay Technology Centre to identify synergies and collaboration possibilities. After the meeting, the laboratories and facilities of the Clay Technology Centre were visited to learn about all its capabilities and the work currently being developed there.

During this meeting, different possible projects for the integration of photovoltaic solar energy into the manufacturing of construction elements, as well as the development of various ceramic materials with photovoltaic energy generation capability, were analysed.

New meetings are expected to be held to encourage collaboration between the ceramics sector of Castilla La Mancha and the photovoltaic sector in future projects and technological developments.

The Clay Technology Centre, located in Toledo, is fundamentally oriented towards the construction materials and environmental sectors, with a special focus on the activities developed for the brick and tile manufacturing industries of Castilla-La Mancha.

The Concentration Photovoltaic Systems Institute, located in Puertollano, carries out its research and development activities in the fields of photovoltaic solar energy, energy efficiency, and intelligent sensors.
